CREATE>

CREATE meets... is a series of networking events providing practitioners with the chance to meet like-minded people from across the spectrum of arts, community development and creative and cultural practice.

These events seek to create a sense of occasion which draws people together from the broadest possible background to allow new conversations to happen, that in turn create new alliances and new ways of working. One aim is to redefine the mainstream – by creating informal meeting points for diverse/ BAME practitioners to meet with peers especially from positions of influence in mainstream institutions that could support commissioning, collaboration and co-operation.  The second theme of the Create Meets is working together and sharing resources. These are free thanks to the support of Birmingham City Council and Arts Council England.

CREATE Skills, is a series 12 training events over the next 12 months, that build individual and organizational capacity. The series is designed to make practitioners better able to design, deliver and evaluate high quality cultural and creative activities, more effective and efficient organizations, and to increase the viability of small businesses and self-employed people in, or aspiring to be in the creative sector.
